Houston’s top companies come together quarterly to network with each other – always with a focus of supporting the mission of Dress for Success Houston. History and Mission
Founded in 2002 by Continental Airlines, the Corporate Guild started with 16 companies and now includes 60 of Houston’s top companies and firms. In 2018, the Corporate Guild raised more than $215,000 to support Dress for Success Houston through sponsorships and events like A Night Out. The Corporate Guild dramatically impacts our agency by funding 23% of our annual operating budget.

The annual sponsorship commitment to join the Corporate Guild is $1,500 which includes four steering meetings and tickets to annual events, such as Models of Success sponsored by Vinson & Elkins LLP, Power Breakfast hosted by Four Seasons Hotel Houston and a Fashion event with Neiman Marcus.
Models of Success
Each March, the Vinson & Elkins L.L.P. sponsors “Models of Success” showcasing success stories of selected clients that have benefited from the array of services at Dress for Success Houston. These women have gone above and #beyondthesuit taking advantage of ongoing career educational programs offered in our Professional Women’s Group.
This year’s presenting sponsor, for the 14th year, is Chevron. The evening honored the agency’s “Clean Sweep” sponsors as they kicked off their Send One Suit Month. SOS Month is DFSH’s city-wide suit drive with over 200 Houston companies hosting suit drives at more than 250 sites. “Clean Sweep” Sponsors include: At the $10,000 level: Halliburton and United, at the $5,000 level: Bank of Texas, BP, Christian Brothers Automotive, Comerica Bank, ERA Group, First Reserve, Memorial Hermann Health System, Midway, Reliant, an NRG company, The Stanford and Joan Alexander Foundation, and Vinson & Elkins.
A Night Out
This event at River Oaks Country Club features a dinner, fashion show, boutique shopping, silent auction and an exciting game of “Heads or Tails,” all contributing to the goal of generating funds to provide professional attire for low-income women transitioning into the workforce. A fashion show featuring models from the Corporate Guild wearing fashions from A Bientot and Elizabeth Anthony.
Each May, the Four Seasons Hotel Houston generously hosts the women of the Corporate Guild for a Power Breakfast with a dynamic speaker covering varying topics. Past speakers include: Mayor Annise Parker, Janiece Longoria, Dr. James Maas, Dr. David Eagleman, Tiffany Masterson, Pam Gardner, Karen Hughes and panel discussions on the impact of Super Bowl LI and How to Join a Corporate Board.
